HR Generalist

Job Details

Our client, a leading supply chain group are seeking a HR Generalist to join their team in Dublin City. Working closely with the UK team, this is an exciting new positon to assist with strategic HR projects and employee relations. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for Ireland based employees for HR queries
  • Advise, guide and support management and employees with day to day employee relations matters including disciplinary, capability, grievance, performance management, bullying and harassment, probation issues, absence management, ensuring policies are followed and risks managed.
  • Support the HRBP in facilitating change and business improvement activity in line with strategy
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with third party suppliers and Trade Union bodies
  • Confident in producing informed business cases
  • Ensure policies and procedures are updated in line with legislation
  • Coach, educate and support managers on HR policies, procedures and legislation
  • Updating and maintaining HR Information System data
  • Identify and implement training opportunities
  • Drive employee engagement and positive improvements in terms of culture
  • Consulting on issues related to the workplace relations and performance management
  • Ad hoc HR Projects such as contributing to continuous improvement to HR systems and practices

Key Requirements:

  • BA/MA in Human Resource Management or Business equivalent
  • CIPD qualification is desirable or working towards this
  • Strong understanding of Irish Employment Law
  • Ability to produce reports
  • Experience in advising and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working standalone and in a team
  • Experience in providing advice and support to Senior Managers on strategic matters
  • Experience in supporting positive engagement and cultural improvement initiatives
  • Able to build positive working relationships
  • Ability to prioritise multiple projects and change in a fast moving operational environment
  • Full driving licence
  • Willing to travel across areas of responsibility and head office if required
