Are you a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, site-to-boardroom environment? We’re looking for an HR Business Partner to join our client’s team and support their people across construction projects and business units. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Head of HR and operational leaders to deliver people strategies that drive performance, engagement, and culture on the ground. Your role?
Partner with leaders to deliver practical, people-focused solutions that support project delivery and business goals
Lead employee relations matters (grievances, disciplinaries, sickness, performance) with fairness and efficiency
Support resourcing and workforce planning, helping to attract, develop and retain great people
Drive engagement and performance, turning employee feedback into action
Support project teams with day-to-day HR needs and offer expert advice to line managers
Lead and contribute to key HR initiatives — from reward and talent to D&I and succession
Track people data and trends to guide better decisions and keep your finger on the pulse
Your experience?
Experience in a similar HRBP role, ideally within construction, engineering, or a fast-paced operational setting
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
Great communication skills — able to engage and influence at all levels, from site teams to senior leaders
Calm under pressure with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
A collaborative, down-to-earth style — someone who builds trust and gets things done
Degree in HR, Business or similar
CIPD qualification (or working towards it)
Familiarity with HR systems and reporting tools
