HR Payroll Officer

Job Details

Our client, an international financial services company based in Brussels, is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for the payroll preparation in collaboration with the external provider, and also providing HR support in various areas of the employee life cycle.

Your role:

  • Preparation of payroll for local and expatriate employees
  • Input all payroll events in the payroll application system using the payroll codes
  • Input end of month corrections 
  • Review the payroll simulations prepared by external provider and submit to HR Director for approval
  • Perform the relevant declarations e.g maternity leave, long term sick leave
  • Record transport allowances and collect receipts of annual transport subscription for reimbursement 
  • Order lunch tickets and record the number of tickets per employee 
  • Expatriates management, including preparation and follow up of single permit for expatriates and renewals or extensions 
  • Preparation of new starter arrivals or departures (visa and administrative duties)
  • Prepare the initial and closing payroll 
  • Preparation of files for new starters or leavers, making sure that HR systems are up to date with the relevant information
  • Provide support to employees where necessary e.g. prepare documents or certificates
  • Preparation of contracts including administration of time credit, parental leave etc.
  • Processing HR related invoices relating to payroll and hr administrative services
  • Identify training needs from managers/employees and help find appropriate training opportunities. Liaising with the L&D team to organize training needs internally or externally
  • Support the HR team when necessary and keep team up to date with changes in regulations
  • Working on ad hoc payroll projects where required

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Equivalent 
  • Experience in payroll processing and HR processes and best practices 
  • Strong experience in Microsoft office and HR payroll software, with experience in EBLOX being an advantage
  • Detail oriented to complete tasks to the highest of accuracy 
  • Ability to multitask by keeping up with project and administrative deadlines
  • Be a team player and work with a collaborative team 
  • Trilingual – speaking French, Dutch and English
