Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced HR Manager
Our client, a well-established and growing business in the fresh produce and logistics sector, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee their HR function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional to join a dynamic organisation and play a key role in supporting business growth, employee engagement, compliance, and organisational performance.
The Role
Reporting to senior management, the HR Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources across the business. The successful candidate will provide both strategic and operational HR support while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day HR function and HR team.
  • Maintain and develop HR systems, processes, and employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and data protection requirements.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding.
  • Oversee recruitment activities including advertising, interviewing, selection, and induction.
  • Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention.
  • Advise and support managers on HR matters including performance management, absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Lead disciplinary and grievance processes where required.
  • Mediate employee relations matters and provide practical HR guidance.
  • Work closely with Payroll regarding employee changes, new starters, and leavers.
  • Support compliance audits and maintain accurate HR documentation.
  • Lead Employee Representative meetings and contribute to operational management meetings.
  • Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, HR reporting, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with strong employment law knowledge and a proven ability to manage HR operations in a busy environment.
Essential Requirements

  • Relevant degree and/or CIPD qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years’ HR experience in a management or senior HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong IT proficiency and experience with HR systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Desirable

  • Experience using Strandum HR software.
  • Experience within logistics, manufacturing, food production, distribution, or a similar operational environment.
