Employer Relations Executive

Job Details

Our Client is looking for an Employer Relations Executive to join their team. In this role, the ER Executive will provide high quality and insightful Industrial Relations, HR and Advocacy services to their members. The Employer Relations Executive also has a responsibility for building effective working relationships with key member contacts, relevant agencies and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct advisory and advocacy services to members, seeking always to add value to the business
  • Provide specialist industrial relations and human resource support to members
  • Represent member companies before third party employment bodies
  • Represent member companies in union/company negotiations
  • Maintain a strong business partnership relationship with members
  • Develop written contributions for publications as required
  • Provide input to training courses in the area of Industrial Relations/Human Resource
  • Deliver training in the area of Industrial Relations/Human Resource
  • Represent the interests of employers on external committees
  • Be an active participant on various project teams as required
  • Keep abreast of employment law; industrial relations and human resource developments
  • Liaise with member companies regarding subscription payments with the view to obtaining timely settlement.
  • Promote and support membership development initiatives

Key Requirements:

  • HR/IR/Employment Law related qualification
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience in representing companies at third party industrial relations institutions
  • Interfacing regularly with Senior Company Executives up to CEO level
  • Working in a representative/consultancy capacity for business
  • Working in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Able to work in team environment
